According to the President of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR), Charles McMillian, who represents 1.2 million members, announced May 7, 2009 that there will be a substantial increase in budget authority to boost funding for HUD. HUD helps millions of families obtain affordable housing and makes safe affordable financing available to many Americans. Obama's 2010 Budget, will also help FHA, HUD's workhorse agency, that plays a significant role in the recovery of our housing economy.The NAR looks forward to working with the Obama administration to continue to improve FHA and the products and services it offers to increase HUD's mission to build sustainable homeownership and communities.
